Fair Trade

operaequa-fairtrade-ecosocial

Fairtrade certification OPERAEQUA is a product certification system designed to allow people to identify products that meet agreed environmental, labour and developmental standards. The system involves independent auditing of producers to ensure the agreed standards are met. In particular, the main objectives of fair trade commerce are to promote opportunities of development for disadvantaged producers (Third Countries producers), to protect women and children from exploitation, to develop correct and equal working conditions, to improve producers’ conditions of life and promote training and scholarship.
Purchasers should guarantee: direct purchase, fair prices plus a premium for fair trade, long term commercial relationships and advanced payments.
